Falcon padded warily throgh some tall grass. After a run in with five, very angry badgers, his pelt was bloody, and he had a terrible wound on his front leg. It was so deep, you could see right down to the bone. He was disturbingly skinny, and very tierd. He forced himself to keep going, as he saw a little maple tree where he could rest. He'd been running for hours straight as the badgers relentlesly chased him. When he came to the grass, they let him go, but they took a few good clumps of his fur out first. At last he reached the tree, surrounded by shorter grass and the smell of prey. Falcon tried to make it to a patch of soft looking moss, but he hadn't gotten halfway around the tree when he collapsed suddedly and let out a faint moan of pain. blood trickled from a bite on his head into his eyes, so he could not see. "Where am I, and what have I become?" he said to himself. He closed his eyes, and eventualy let the dark world of sleep- and his endless nightmeres, take him.
(Dreaming) "What is this place" Falcon mumbled. He was in a forest, in the middle of summer. It was beautiful: rays of light shining through the trees. Their leaves green and healthy. Prey animals were everewhere; rabbits bounding carelessly; squirrels and mice hoarding nuts and seeds. It was breathtaking. Suddenly an earsplitting wail horrificly reminded Falcon of where he was.He was in his old home, when his mother was dying. "MOTHER!" he yelled. "MOTHER IS THAT YOU?" he called again. He heard another cry, and instantly ran to her side. Her eyes were closed, and only the faint rise of her side said she was alive. His brother, Talon, and father Hawk, were already with her. "Goodbye, my darlings, I'll miss you, wherever I go. Take care of the pup, her name is... is Vivian" his mother said weakly. There was the newborn pup, a tiny little furball wimpering softly. Their mother wailed, and then lie motionless.
(Real World) Falcon woke with a start, and then sat there, not caring if the badgers found and killed him, his eyes full of loss and sorrow.

The sun was setting now, and Falcon needed to get back to the forest where he normaly sleeped before nightfall, when the badgers would be most active. But that was days travel, and with his injuries, he would never make it back alive. He tried to stand up; at first he was able to get to his paws, then he colapsed. There he lay, unconsious and starving. a trickle of blood ran out of his mouth, he could hardly draw his breath in and out. 'Im going do die, here and now, aren't I' he thought to himself as he regained consiousness. He blinked out the blood that still lay in his eyes so he could see again. his vision was blury at first, but after a few minutes it cleared up, revealing that the sun was almost completly set, slowly vanishing into wherever it went at nightime. He flinched as a cricket landed on him, wincing in pain as he moved his wounded leg. "my leg...... I think Ive sprained it"his thoughts were clearer now. "I'll have to hunt if I want to live until morning" he said. Across the tree a half eaten fawn lay, probably from a fox. He sat up, driven by the scent of food. He shakily walked over to where it lay. He lay down next to it, and began to gratefully eat the meat. Feeling newly strengthened by his meal, he stood up and walked to the patch of moss, wich was only two steps away. Falcon curled up in its softness and for the first time noticed something. There was a scent line- Wolfs! on one side he could pick up many scent trails; some faint some fresh, but they were definatly wolf. On the other side, Falcon couldn't pick up any trails. "mabye there's a pack of them." If they patrol their borders, then I'll sleep near the boundary line and they'll spot- and hopefully help me!" he lay on a moss covered rock, a few yards from the border, and went to sleep.

Binde, please. Please what? Please stop talking. You're talking, silly, why can't I? I wouldn't be talking if you hadn't been bothering me! How was I bothering you, brother. I was merely trying to make you talk for once. Well congratulations, Envoy growled. You have completed your task. Anyways, you old grouch, as I was saying... I think the Assassins are going to attack soon, with full force. I mean, who wouldn't? They haven't attacked us at all in the past what... nine moons? Oh! And that reminds me, I was talking to Alern the other day, you know "Queen Fisher?" and she was talking about how she thinks... what's his name? The big annoying brute who thinks he's the "shining knight..." oh! Knight! Well, she thinks that-- Shhh. Envoy's tune was so serious that Binde finally did close her mouth. Although she whispered through clenched teeth, Is that... wolf blood I smell? Envoy nodded, before bursting into a run. Binde gasped with surprise and hurried after her brother, trying to keep up. Panting, she finally arrived and was about to snarl an angry statement at her black brother but stopped herself. Are, you alright? Envoy was asking the wolf, who was covered in blood. He was skinny too, although by the smell of him, he had eaten only a few hours ago. Was he alive? Hey, you. Wake up! Binde nudged him roughly, still angry that Envoy had beaten her to the wolf. Envoy rolled his eyes with annoyance and waited for the wolf to come back to reality... if it would. [/sup]

Falcon awoke at the sound of wolfs. He looked up at them, eyes shining with a new hope. He imediatly stood upright. "Yes, I'm okay, but very weak. I wish you know harm and don't want to fight. My name is falcon. Who are you?" he said

OoC;; You must be patient, runningwolf, it's only been what, two days? Binde stepped back as the wolf struggled to its feet. It seemed to stand good enough, it didn't need support. Yes, I'm okay, but very weak. I wish you know harm and don't want to fight. My name is falcon. Who are you? I'm Binde. She stated loudly, smiling at the wolf. Falcon. What a nice name... And I'm Envoy. We won't harm you, Falcon, you look like you are already harmed enough. I'm sure we have room in Akali for another wolf... if that's what you want? Envoy studied the wolf carefully. He was far from okay, the smell of blood still clung to his bloody pelt, and it made him cringe slightly. Binde seemed just as disgusted, but didn't show it. She was smiling at the wolf now, and for once, she was quiet.[/sup]

OoC;; No problem! Everyone makes mistakes, right? You would let me join your pack? Binde smiled and nodded furiously. Of course! I mean, no offenense, but it looks like you need help. Arlen has some useful skills with herbs and such. I'm sure she'll be happy to help you! Seeing Arlen's skills on the previous patrol, when they ran into Ghost and Glacier, Binde herself was impressed, which didn't happen often. Follow. Envoy's silky, smooth voice sounded before he spun on his heel and swiftly walked away. Annoyed at how unfriendly her brother was being, Binde hurried towards Falcon. Falcon, let me help you. Lean on my shoulder. Camp's not that far away, maybe a ten minute walk? She said, smiling at him.[/sup]

"Coming Envoy." he said shakily "Thank you so much; both of you." he added less weakly. He winced in pain as his bad leg touched the ground. "Sorry to slow you down and all, but with this leg," he said pointing to the huge gash on it, "this is as fast as I can go" OOC: thanks Smokie

OoC;; It's not a problem, really. Binde said as Envoy slowed. Although Binde knew the way back to camp, the male didn't feel safe leaving his sister alone out here with an injurered loner. He had a feeling something big was going to happen soon, very soon. Hurry up. He said, almost to himself it was so quiet. Binde didn't pay any attention to her brother's words and just smiled at Falcon. I can't wait for you to join Akali! We can be the best of friends! When you are accepted, I'm sure I can show you to Glacier or Arlen. They are the best ones with herbs. Or... I don't know Rose would heal you with her powers but... it's worth the try, isn't it? Binde, now back to her old chatty self, spoke with a loud confidence as the went back to camp.

Falcon managed a weak but warm smile at Binde. He felt his bad leg give way as he stepped on a stone. "AHH!" Falcon said as he fell to the ground. He couldn't help but feeling happy for the first time since his mother died, despite all his wounds. It was a wonderful feeling, and it gave him a strange new energy. The blood-stained wolf heaved himself upwards and walked on, now heavily limping and softly wimpering in pain. "I don't think I can make it much farther, he said through clenched teeth. His leg started bleeding again, and he saw a small crack in the bone that was exposed. He had to drive himself with all his heart to keep going.

Binde, mouth opened to speak once more, stayed open as Falcon stumbled earthwards. Whoa! She yelped, being pulled down with the male. Flustered, she picked herself up, helping the male as she did so. I'm sorry about that, Falcon. I'm a horrible helper, aren't I? She said, frowning. I don't think I can make it much farther... He was obviously in pain and it hurt Binde to see her new friend in that state. You're right, rest here. She said and then she raised her voice. Envoy? Hmp. Fetch Arlen please, I can smell her nearby. Hmp. She watched her mysterious brother race off into the woods, in the southern direction. The scent was slowly drifting away, it seemed like Arlen was running too. Left alone with Falcon, Binde turned towards him. Are you alright? She asked, concern deep in her voice. Arlen will be here soon... I hope... [/center]

Falcon collapsed and landed heavily on his bad leg "AHHHHH!!!" he howled, the wound had started bleeding more heavily now, as a rock had been jabbed into it. Then he looked Binde straight in the eye with a worried stare. "What if your alpha doesn't accept me, then what? I won't last the night without somewhere to stay." Falcon closed his eyes, looking down. "They wouldn't accept me. I'd only be holding them back." he looked back up at Binde. "You might as well kill me now." he finished. Falcon attepted to stand, only to fall and slip into unconsiousness. OOC:Falcon gets like this sometimes, he's just always so depressed because of his past.

Binde stood there, staring at Falcon. She was shocked to the core. Ki--kill you? Falcon, don't even SUGGEST such a thing! I would never kill you, or anyone for that matter. She stared at him for a few more moments, trying to clarify why he suddenly became so depressing. Falcon, she sat beside him, begining to lick his wound clean. She flinched at the taste of blood but contuined, she couldn't let it become infected. The past is the past. I haven't had the best past either... that's why I'm here. Akali is a great pack, Falcon. Fydo won't think twice about accepting you, I promise. Even Binde was surprised at how gentle and tender her voice sounded. She looked away from Falcon and rose to her paws. Arlen should be here soon... She said half to herself. She was embarresed, a feeling Binde hated to the extreme.

Falcon started to sit up, very carfully. "Your'e right Binde, I'm sorry. It's just.... when your own family-" he stopped "When your own family did things as horrible as mine did to me..... sometimes it's hard to ever feel any happiness or joy in life. Like you can be running through fields for the pure joy of it. The only time I'm running through fields is hunting, or fleeing. You've got family and friends here. I havn't had that since....since.....I'd rather not talk about it now, if that's okay. I'm sorry Binde, I shouldn't have said what I did, can you forgive me?" he pleaded.
