Khaynen stepped up to Fern and smiled lightly, his eyes glimmering in the moonlight that dove into the den from a hole above.
"Hello, Fern." Khaynen barked friendily."It's a beautiful night, isn't it?"

"The moon looks like it's only just a few tail-lengths away!" Khaynen barked, amused."I feel like I could just take few steps towards it, and touch it. Have you ever wondered what it felt like?" Khaynen's tail curled around Fern's body as he inched closer.

Fern felt this was weird but ignored it. She said,"yeah! I want to touch it and it might feel like...like cheese!" She smiled and licked her lips.

"Thanks... I guess the assasains do really bad stuff..." Khayen replied, smiling genorously."I was just born when the battle happened, and I heard about many deaths... and I'm sorry for that." Khaynen looked back up at the sky and let out a howl. It sounded beautiful for such a young wolf. He looked expectantly at Fern to join him.

Fern howled with even more beauty. She closed her eyes, a wonderful, beautiful site. Fern then let her head drop and she blinked at him. She was irrasistable!

Fern thought,we are not friends....but said,"I can't, not now. It is too soon. Plus I have to help me sister with her pups. You have to wait" She turned and left, not bothering to look back at his face.

Khaynen's heart felt like it had just popped. His eyes swelled with sadness as he padded away, tail drooping.'I'm sorry, Fern...' Khaynen thought to himself. It felt as if a cold stone were dropped into his stomach.
