The Translation for The Prophecy of the Wolves:
When the moon is full and the wolf god awakes, the Wolven Empire will become a magical and dangerous place where wolves rule the forests. Each wolf will get a special power of their own and they will become cursed forever.
What does this mean?
It just so happens that the moon was almost full not too long ago. Remember that wonderful sunset and moon? That fit "When the moon is full." It seems that wolves have been receiving strange powers lately... that matches "each wolf will get a special power of their own." Some wolves have been getting injured lately too. (Bain and Midak got lost and fell into the ditch. Kaya had some boulders topple over on her from where? A mountain maybe?) This fits the statement "they will become cursed forever." The wolves' powers are going to be important throughout the plot. Let's see... the only things from the prophecy that haven't been explained is the thing about the Wolven Empire, the wolves ruling the forests, and the awakening of the wolf god. Remember how when the moon was about full you could see the constellation of the wolf god within the stars? The wolf god constellation had appeared in the sky when the pack had started getting the powers. The wolves' powers are going to be important throughout the plot. Each night it started to move closer to the moon, and soon, on the night of the brightest and biggest moon, the stars will vanish within the moon and the wolf god will awake. (remember the skeleton in the tomb? that is the wolf god. his spirit and empire will awaken shortly. You could say that him and his empire are coming back from the dead, but they will seem very much alive.) The wolven empire disappeared a long time ago after the wolf god's , and only if his spirit was awakened that the empire could return. The wolven empire was a kingdom that basically was in command of the forests. They might appear nice at first, but the truth as to what the Empire really is will soon be revealed.
The Wolf King Story
It was early in the morning. Birds were singing, the water was gleaming, and the terra was peaceful. It was a beautiful terra, much more beautiful than that of the Akali pack. The pack was very peaceful, the pups were playing, others eating, others huntings, and others sleeping. The pack was a bit strange, however. The wovles seemed more magical and had special powers. But there was one wolf, a special wolf, bigger than all the others. He had a huge fluffy white pelt that gleamed in the bright sunlight. His golden orbs proudly scanned his terra, watching for any trouble. As he proudly walked past, the wolves would bow their heads to him, as if he were some sort of god. But he was not just a wolf god, he was the king of the wolf gods. It was clear that he was important when he went to a glorious willow with bright flowers around it and stood with his chest puffed out. The wolves who were hunting, would give him what they had hunted, and he would divide it up for the pack. Even though he seemed to be a very selfish king who did not care about his pack, he was actually very kind. He would make sure his pack was healthy, especially the pups. The pups had to be fed, then the females, the males, himself, and the leftovers split evenly amoung the pack. It was a very peaceful time, until one day, another wolf challenged the mighty king.
After a fierce battle between this stranger and the king, the stranger was victorius. Soon, the winner trapped the king down in a cave within lots of boulders and sealed the entrance to let him rot. He put a curse on it so he could not escape. The wolf gods worshiped this new king, until they realized his horrible decisions. He was treating his pack poorly and they all knew that he was a very bad king. The wolf gods confronted him about it, telling him that if he continued, the pack would die. He had his personal council attack them. He had formed an alliance with his council members, promising them high ranks and glory in the future if they helped him. The wolf gods attacked, and a few died. Then they fled away from the kingdom, and the king banished them. He called thembetrayers and sent out his best assassins to track them down and kill them. But they could not find the gods.
Over time, the assassins lived in the forests and reproduced. Now they are strong and large pack of trained killers. The wolf gods separated, and only had few pups. The assassins were now stronger, and the wolf gods knew that they would be killed. They needed help. If they were killed, the king would take over, and the wolf packs would become enslaved or killed or put to other awful uses.
The king's shrine was now a waterfall because of the rain. The king got angry and depressed while trapped, knowing his kingdom and empire was falling. His sadness brought the rain, and his fury brought the waves and strong water currents. Soon, a waterfall formed and he eventually died. He had told the gods, however, that in the future,if some how a wolf found the shrine, that he would give them clues and information so that the wolf and his or her pack could help restore the empire. He told them that he would put a spell on the cave. It wouldn't be powerful enough to break the curse since he was very weak, but it would be enough to call them when a wolf found the cave. Hopefully, if a wolf did find the cave in the future, the pack would help the gods and stop the king from taking over the other packs.
The Attack on September 9th, 2006!
Akemsho, the alpha of the pack, has been missing. 2 searching parties started to search. 1 group (Kaya, and Vogue) in the southern wood, the other (Fydo, Shoto, and Starlight) in the northern wood. After searching for a while, Fydo, Shoto, and Starlight came upon Bullet, Starlight's long lost brother. Bullet was with Akemsho, who had been running from a vicious huge beastly dark red wolf with sharp claws and teeth. It would kill anyone it wanted to kill. Meanwhile, after searching the southern and middle wood, Kaya's group decided to head toward the northern wood. They started to run, but encountered the dark red wolf who'd been chasing Akemsho. They survived, but Kaya hit a low tree branch and is now unconsious. The others found Kaya, and were crouched down with her, trying to be as silent as possible, because the red wolf was upon them. Soon, Mystery pounced onto the beast from behind. Vogue pounced second, knawing on its legs. Akemsho was third, leaping out at its facing, scratching as hard as he could. Shoto attacked 4th at its side. Fydo was the last one to pounce on the wolf, biting as hard as he could at its throat. They killed the wolf and Vogue suffered from lack of oxygen, since there was too much blood in her nose and throat. Akemsho healed her, and is now recovering from the loss of energy on the ground. Bullet has now changed hearts, and remembers only the ones he loved. The first thing he said was, "Vogue." He has a much kinder heart now. It is clear that Starlight is also in love with someone, and that is Shoto.
The Dark Assassains Pack
There is a pack west of the Akali pack's river, called the Dark Assassains Pack. They are a specially bred pack who are extremely strong, threatening, and red. They murdered the wolf king of the wolf gods, and now are out to kill the rest of the wolf gods. They will also kill the Akali Pack if they get too close or are simply annoying them. There will soon be a great battle between the Dark Assassains Pack and the Akali Pack. The wolf gods are soon to come back, and will help in the fight.
Aruruu stumbled upon the red wolves also, but was surprisingly not killed. Instead, a red brute named Raigar saved her by picking her up with his mouth and he ran away from the angry red wolves behind them. More about these two will be revealed shortly.
The current red wovles are: The alpha Arondr, the alphess Irira (pronounced Eye-Ree-Rah), the beta Fator, the beta female Knife, the coward Jolt, the protective Raigar, and the extremely helpful Redmoon.
The Battle
The war council was held between Arondr and Akemsho, and war was declared. Shadow joined the Dark Assassains, and without her strength, the Akali wolves felt like they had lost before the war had even started. There is a lot of bloodshed and vicious fighting. The Akali wolves are fighting hard for the future of their pack, but the Dark Assassains outnumber them greatly.
Circe
Arondr's eyes burned with hatred. A traitor. He always noticed that Knife was different than the rest, and now, her life would end here. A seering pain entered his throat as Knife's sharp teeth tore away the flesh. His vision was starting to become cloudy with a red tint, and he knew it was over. He dug his claws deeper into her ribs, tearing and scratching. He heard numerous snaps, which were probably bones. The owner of the bones was oblivious to him, as he was already shrouded in pain. He couldn't see, but he knew his paws were damp with Knife's blood. Hopefully she was dead. His duty wasn't finished yet. He still had a moment to live. With his last urge of strength, he wrenched his head around and caught sight of Akemsho, who was watching with a slight smile of victory. He snarled silently, for he couldn't speak. With Knife's teeth still clamped on his throat, he grabbed Akemsho's throat with his teeth and pulled. Everything was turning black. He was falling from life into the eternal darkness of death. Covered in blood, he fell, finally letting out his last breath. The alpha of the Dark Assassains had fallen, slain by a traitor in his own pack. Arondr, alpha of the Dark Assassains Pack, closed his eyes for the last time.
Akemsho yelped as he was pulled sharply by the throat. Arondr's teeth sank deeper into his fur, breaking through his flesh. The life was being ripped away from him. Fydo and Kaya had seen and ran over. He gazed at them with sad, pained wet eyes. "DADDY!" they cried, tears rolling down their young faces. He opened his mouth slowly, despite the searing pain. An icy tear rolled down his cheek. Kaya yelped, sobbing. She yelled for Kithera with all her might. "MOMMY!!!" Kithera ran over from the midst of battle, followed by angry red wolves. The red wolves stopped dead in their tracks as they saw what was happening. A bigger crowd formed as more wolves from both packs realized. Kithera ran over to Akemsho's side, tears rolling down her face. The two pups did the same. "Daddy, don't go..." Fydo and Kaya said repeatedly. "Please Daddy, we love you!" Akemsho spoke. "Never forget me, and I'll live on in your hearts forever." He closed his eyes. "We love you, Akemsho. We always will," he heard his mate say. There was a silence, and he could only hear his family's sobs.
With his last dying breath, his whispered one word, that of which was a name.
"Circe..."
Circe. Who or what is this Circe?
The Aftermath
Arondr was killed by Knife, one of the Dark Assassains. Arondr killed Akemsho at about the same time, which meant both alpha males were dead. Fator, however, had been informed by Arondr that if he died, he would take over as alpha. The only alpha. Fator had trouble telling this to Irira, Arondr's mate and alpha female of the pack. She called him a lier but really knew that he was telling the truth. She tried to kill him, but Fator won. He's now the alpha of the Dark Assassains. Fator is not really a killer at heart, and thinks that the pack should move away from the Kingdom and the Gods and should move to the hills, where they can raise the pups.
Fydo and Kaya, Akemsho's pups, are very depressed over their father's death, and may never be the same again. Kithera too, is scarred for life, and has to lead the pack herself. She's had enough of bloodshed and death. She's about ready to gather the wolves and lead them back to their own terra, as soon as the Dark Assassains are gone.
The wolf gods surprisingly haven't shown up yet, but a messanger for the Gods has come to aid the pack.
Other stuff: Starlight and Shoto have become mates, and Bullet and Vogue have become mates. Vogue has reunited with her sister, Lyra, and has seen the terrible fate of her previous pack.
The Famine
The battle occured, and the two packs lived side by side. However, no one thought of the damage it might cause the forest. The Dark Assassins and the Akali Wolf Pack together overhunted it, and the Dark Assassins killed a lot of animals as battle practice. Now, the forest is empty, and the pack has to move to a new terra. It will be extremely hard because of the cold, harsh winter and the newborn pups to worry about. Will the pack survive?
The New Terra
The pack made it into the new terra safe and sound. However, there was a sacrifice. During the famine, Kithera gave all her food to the pups to ensure their survival, and starved herself in the process. Kithera gave Fydo the position of Alpha, and then died, reuniting with Akemsho. Akemsho's ghost put a scar on Fydo's chest, for reasons that Fydo does not know. But now, as Summer approaches, all is well for the Akali Wolf Pack.
...For now.
The Cave
Fydo found a cave in the forest near the terra, which is home to the giant two-headed serpent, Circe.
Fydo stepped back in alarm as the being showed itself.
"Oh Fydo, you have no reason to be afraid. It was all your father's fault, after all." The being brought itself to it's full height. Towering over him, was a huge gray two-headed snake with demonic red eyes.
"What do you mean, my father's fault? What did he do?" He called out, scared.
"I thought he would have told you... stupid wolf, never did what he was supposed to."
"Who are you?" Fydo called up to the being.
"My name is Circe," the serpent hissed.
"Circe..." Fydo said under his breath. Why did that name sound so familiar?
Then he remembered.
"Circe..."
"Why would my father have anything to do with you?" Fydo asked.
"We made a deal," Circe said, slithering up to him and staring him right in the face. "The Akali terra wasn't always your family's, you know. I owned it, and what a beautiful place it was. Then Akemsho trespassed, weary and lonely... oh, poor Akemsho," She said in a teasing voice. "He begged me to give him the terra, begged and pleaded, he even threatened me once. He needed the terra soooo badly, he said. So, being the merciful creature I am, I let him have it. On one condition. Since I couldn't kill him then, which I would've LOVED to, you see, I love killing. He could have the terra, but on his dying day, he would have to come to me and give the terra back to me. And give himself as well, so I could murder him however I pleased." She hissed madly. "But he didn't! I was kind enough to move into this place, let him grow an entire pack, and he didn't even finish the deal. I knew I shouldn't have trusted him..."
"But he didn't completely forget you!" Fydo said. "When the Dark Assassains attacked our terra and he died in battle, his last words, the final thing he would ever say, was Circe."
"Oh, isn't that lovely. He still didn't come to me."
"Can't you just forget about it? We left the terra, there was a famine. It's empty now, and you can have it back!"
"Well, there is one thing I can do." She eyed Fydo. "Thank you for coming, Fydo. Because now I have you."
"You have... me?"
"You can die to make up for what your father did."
Fydo cried out. "What?! It's not my fault! I had no idea Akemsho did all this! You can't kill me! And I'm alpha now! I have a pack to look after!"
Circe slithered around him, blocking the entrance of the cave. "I'll give you 2 choices. You can either let me kill you, the deal will be settled, and your pack will come to no harm. Or you can run away, and I will hunt you down and kill you and the whole pack. Either way, you die."
Fydo didn't know what to think. Why hadn't Akemsho prepared him for this!? Why didn't he just go to Circe before he died!? Was that the reason for the scar? To let him know that he was marked by death and he was destined to die? He didn't know what to do.
"I really don't know what to think, Circe..." Fydo said slowly. "But I don't think I trust you. How do I know if you're telling the truth if Akemsho never told me any of this?"
"You don't believe me?" Circe hissed in a sickly sweet voice. "Why not? It's all true, he made an oath." She tilted her head, revealing a scar on the left side of her head. "See this scar? This was the oath. With this mark, he was destined to be mine at death. He scarred me, and I scarred him. You didn't notice? On his chest, that faded scar? And-- Oh look, Fydo." She brought her head down and stared at his chest. "You have the same exact scar, marking the oath that you will be mine at death. Oh, how like Akemsho. To be too cowardly to give his part of the deal and pass it to his son."
Fydo's scar burned suddenly, and he winced. Why did Akemsho do this? How could he? He got a burst of anger. All this time, he was keeping secrets from me. And then, he passed the oath onto me without my knowledge! What kind of father is that?! He thought angrily.
Fydo stood in thought for a moment, and then decided. "I'll have an answer for you in three days," he announced.
"THREE DAYS!?" Circe hissed. "YOU EXPECT ME TO WAIT THREE DAYS!?"
"You've been waiting for a while already. I think you can hold on a bit longer before killing me. But I have one more question. If I give myself to you in place of my father, you promise that my pack won't be harmed in any way?"
"That was the oath Akemsho and I made," she hissed, and he paused.
"Three days. I would ask for longer, but I figure that you would simply attack and slaughter every wolf in my pack." Fydo said simply. "I bid you good day, Circe, and will return here in three days time." He turned his back on her and left the cave.
Circe watched him exit and slithered back into the darkness. A wolf approached her.
"Circe, what did the alpha say?" The wolf asked.
"He didn't answer. He'll be back in three days time."
"Do you want us to attack?"
"Not yet. Wait until he comes here, and then attack the pack. Foolish Fydo," She said. "He doesn't realize that in the end, everyone dies." The wolf laughed evilly.
"I will go tell the others. Good day, Circe." He left the cave.
Akemsho, the one who hated pain and fighting. You had no idea how much peril you would bestow upon your beloved pack.
What will Fydo choose? Will everyone die?
